Weird sweeteners but overall a good starting point
This is my first vegan protein powder experience - I got chocolate flavour and mask the weird sweeteners with frozen spinach/bananna, raw cocoa, nut butter, chia/flax/hemp, and spirulina in whatever combo I fancy. It's a good meal replacer and keeps you full for ages with no repercussions. I think I'm gonna try a pure protein blend and just add oats et al instead of this next time, it's not a bad product it's just artificially sweet for me - I work in a vegan cafe which uses no sweeteners in the shakes so my pallet is probably biased, haha I dunno the sweetness is odd maaaan 😅
Ideal for non dairy lifters.
Been using this protein for sometime now, used to be on whey, but after using a bulk powder my gut no longer agrees with it, i wont go into details or the gainer i used. It took me a while to find a decent well priced non dairy protein, but this one is perfect. i use the strawberry, tried the chocolate but it wasnt for me. I have two scoops a day and it lasts for about a month or so. If your like me and cant stomach dairy, or if you would prefer a non dairy based protein, i suggest this one.
Very Good Plant Power
Yes taste abit grainy but if you are used to plant based milks etc it's a similar aftertaste, & it mixes very well so not lumpy. Beware though.... Tub says 45g serving & instruction says one level spoonful per 300ml water....However the spoon included is actually 100ml (g) when leveled. So it is very very thick! This isn't very clear, they should include a 45g spoon and leave it up to the customer if they want 2 servings! 45ml isn't very clear on side of spoon so you have to carefully measure it out. So I have marked it down 1 star as it is such a ridiculous way of doing it, however the taste value for money & protein content is all brilliant I would buy again. My fav way of taking.... 50ml spoonful (with care! 🙄) 350ml water 150ml almond/cashew milk Ice Shake alot & allow to sit for 2minutes

Good tasting product
I have been searching for a while for a non-dairy based protein powder that I like. I’ve tried a few ‘big brand’ products and hated them. Either the texture or flavour - or both - was stomach-turning for me. I took a chance on this product - especially with it being a 1kg bag. It’s a lot of drinks to force myself to have if I didn’t like it. So... how was it...? The texture isn’t as smooth as you would get from maybe a whey based or other dairy-based product. However, it isn’t really grainy and I’m fine with the texture. The flavour is where it really counts though. It reminds me of chocolate cake. The beauty of the taste is that it isn’t too sweet and doesn’t taste really artificial like I’ve found some products do. There is no aftertaste - another big win for me. This is also one of the few protein powders I can have that doesn’t leave my stomach feeling either bloated or a bit upset. Four stars not 5 because of: * the texture * the scoop is supposed to give you 20g but one flat scoop is more like 25g of product * it’s 20g of protein for 150 calories. There are products out there with a better ratio of protein to calories. Saying all of that, this is my protein powder of choice now and it’s the first one I have tried that I’ve been able to get into a routine of having every day.
Definitely a winner!
Having finally transitioned to a plant based diet I've stacked up over 10 different vegan proteins now that I've tried and strongly to severely disliked. Having read the reviews on Wyldsson's range I thought I'd give it one last go. Having emailed them first with a couple of questions, they were super helpful and have great customer service (thank you Daragh). When it arrived I was naturally setting myself up to add it to the pile of thanks but no thanks and i'm delighted to say that wasn't the case. You need more liquid than a whey protein because plant protein is less soluble but I'm pleased to say - the vanilla gave a creamy and vanilla taste that you would expect, not a fake sweetener taste. I'm now sold and I'll be returning for more once I've worked my way through mine. Definitely a winner!
Not artificially sweet
Was excited to try this protein powder from Wyldsson, as am a huge fan of this company and everything I’ve tried from them before has been not only healthy, but also delicious. This protein powder is plant-based and has no artificial sweeteners, colours or flavours. It delivers 20 g of protein per serving, but also provides electrolytes and trace elements, such as potassium, magnesium, zinc and iron. Having tried many vegan protein powders, I usually find that they taste strongly of pea or are overly sweet and tend to leave an unpleasant aftertaste. This powder’s protein blend is made up of pea, pumpkin and sunflower, so whilst the pea is detectable, it isn’t overwhelming. The chocolate flavour is subtle and in my opinion the level of sweetness is spot on and achieved with a fruit blend and stevia. I have tried this powder with almond and oat milk and in both cases it mixed well with no lumps. The texture is thicker than other powders (a pea soup like texture rather than custard) but not unpleasant and if using as a meal replacement, this helps with feelings of satiety. Each portion also provides almost 5 g of plant fibre, which is a sixth of daily recommendation and which is linked to gut health and better digestion. Overall, with no added nasties or fillers and quality ingredients, I would highly recommend this powder, especially if you are looking for a plant-based nutritional supplement, rather than just looking to check off your post-exercise protein box .

Even my fussy 7 year old rates this!
I have been using protein powders for years as I'm vegan and have ibs so struggle to get enough protein in as I can't eat beans. I spent ages looking for one that wouldn't taste too green or healthy as I was looking to add more protein to my 7 year old who is extremely fussy and underweight l. We are a vegan family. I bought this with my 7 year old in mind but was hoping all of my kids would enjoy it. They loved the taste and asked for more. I did make sure to make it thin so more of a milk rather than a shake which they prefer. I shall definitely be purchasing this again!
Be aware mixed up listing
Great item. Chocolate cookie flavour is nice not overly sweet like some others. You can make a mousse to milk shake just adjust the amount of milk. Can stay a bit lumpy found first mix with a fork then use a hot chocolate whisk 😉 Be AWARE Amazon have mixed up the vegan and non vegan item into one listing Phd smart is non vegan. PhD plant is vegan (check PhD website if unsure)
One of the best vegan protein powders I’ve tried
I’ve tried a lot of vegan protein powders in the past year and it is so hard to get vegan powders that don’t have the earthy taste or are gritty. I originally tried the Salted Caramel flavour which I love but I’m so glad I’ve found the chocolate flavour- it’s now my go to. It’s so reasonably priced, really tasty, not too sweet (for me), and it is thick, but I like that and it can be thinned down. It’s definitely not lumpy how I’ve tried it: I use it in smoothies, as a shake, in oats and in yoghurt. It’s versatile and the best I’ve tried by far. I only wish they’d make a vanilla flavour and I’m not sure the packaging is as easily recyclable as it could be but I may be wrong on that! Everything else is a huge tick.
