Order size down
I am 5’6” and 40’ chest. Normally this would be size medium. Having read the reviews I ordered size small and it fits perfectly. So unless you are big or planning to wear lots of garments underneath order a size down. It could possibly have a more flattering cut and just how breathable it is is questionable however it kept me dry and comfortable on my run today in the snow and wind with just a t shirt underneath. The black soft material round your neck is nice. There are zips under the arms which helps with air flow especially, I would imagine, if you are on a bike. Overall pretty nice functional jacket for a reasonable price £44.99.
Perfect for me
It’s true they do come up on the big side. I got a size lower and still came up a bit big. Bought one for myself and one for my daughter in law for Christmas. Great value I paid £70 for the two but she gave hers back because the sleeves were too long...but they have adjustments all around including Velcro’s on the wrists...I am now the grateful owner of two. All I would say about the sizing is that I use them when exercising on my bike and only wear a tee shirt beneath.....if you are wearing work clothes then I expect the sizing would be perfect. Another point worth mentioning is that they have a waterproof coating which is diminished by washing and if keeping dry is important...to me it isn’t...then you will need to re waterproof after washing. Has plenty of breathe vents which probably are needed as the jackets are 100% polyester....I won’t be using them in the summer so I don’t know how effective these will be.

Great coat for running in the rain or or high vis work outside. Has breathable vip under the arms and on the back, where you sweat the most so prevents the sticky condensation from heat on the inside. Excellent value for money!

I bought XXL as I am 6ft 2” & 17stone so buy a size or two up
I bought this cycling jacket a few week’s ago and been cycling in the cold weather we have had, & I cannot fault my purchase I wear a thermal vest under it & it keep’s me nice & warm, although we have not had heavy rain I was caught in a couple of small shower’s & it kept me dry, I am very pleased with the jacket also a good stylish jacket, I bought the grey camouflage which look’s great
Decent Quality Warm Jacket - On the Small Side
I'm normally an XL, but ordered the XXL after viewing their size chart, and I'm glad to say it fits fine. The jacket is nice and warm and great for these cold commutes. A word of note if you are protective about which side your zipper is, it's on the right on this jacket. Very happy with this purchase and as usual Amazon deliver was great

Great value for money
Received this exactly as specified by the vendor. I'm 5' 8" tall, weight 14 stone and usually wear a 42 / 44 short jacket so I ordered the XL size - which fits me perfectly. I've done two rides in it now and find it to be comfortable to wear. It doesn't sweat me and it does breath okay. I wear a base layer underneath and find that comfortable riding in temperatures of 6 - 8 centigrade - not too warm or too cool. We'll see what it's like when the weather warms up a bit. The black areas are not waterproof I think as they do allow air through quite easily but the positioning of them helps with the comfort and breath ability. I don't plan to go out when it is pooring down but I did get caught in some drizzle the other day. There was only a slight moistening around the black areas - but they dried really quickly once it stopped raining. The acid test is - would I order it again? My answer would be yes! Good value for money.

Great value, lovely fit
My other half bought the men's version of this for running (hi vis yellow) and I wanted one for myself, also for running in the cooler weather along country lanes - his was half price in store at Mountain Warehouse whilst the ladies was not reduced (£69.99), so I was pleased to have found it at a more sensible cost on Amazon. It is very bright (but a lovely shade of pink all the same) and the pockets are fab. Feels like great quality (I found a lot of the hi vis running jackets to be very flimsy and didn't feel confident they'd keep out the rain) and the fit is flattering - not too snug but has curves in the right places.
Breathable, waterproof & visible
I bought this jacket for cycling home in the dark after work, and it is excellent! I’ve been using it over the last month, and it is very visible and comfortable. See pic attached for now the reflective lines on the back look, very good for being seen in the dark by vehicles. It’s true to size, I bought my normal size, and it’s waterproof (been stuck in the rain a few times!), but it doesn’t leave you really hot and sweaty. There’s zipper parts you can open under the arms for breathability, and I usually wear a quick dry T-shirt anyway which also helps whisk away any sweat. It’s comfy, visible, breathable and you won’t be disappointed. Lovely pink colour too! Highly recommend.

Snug fit, size up if large busted
I dithered over sizing for ages then finally opted for my usual size. I now wish I had sized up because the jacket has a snug fit and is tight even with just a t-shirt underneath. As I wanted this for cycling I will be swapping for a larger size as it does not give me enough freedom across the shoulders. For info I’m a busty 14 and I bought the 16 (my usual size for jackets).
best mountain biking jacket: Buying Guide
Unlike traditional motorcycle jackets, mountain biking jackets must be packable. The weight and bulk of this kind of jacket makes it unsuitable for long rides, while its lightweight design makes it convenient for storing essentials. Besides, many cyclists don’t want to carry a jacket that is too heavy or too clumsy. Nevertheless, the proper choice of mountain biking jacket is essential to protect your body from the harsh weather conditions.
There are many types of mountain biking jackets, and each of them has its own specific features. While a high rating in the laboratory is useful, it doesn’t matter much on the trail. The quality of the cut, venting, and other features will affect the performance of the jacket. The mbr’s performance is the most important consideration. It is also important to consider the cost of shipping. The price of a jacket isn’t just about the performance, but also about comfort and ease of use.
Depending on your riding style, you can choose an appropriate cycling jacket. Look for a lightweight jacket without sacrificing the important features such as ventilation. The Link cycling jacket, for example, has an adjustable hood, side zip pockets, and reflective trim. A waterproof mountain biking jersey is more expensive than one made for mild weather, but if you often ride on wet trails, this option is worthwhile. It is also more comfortable than a standard raincoat and can keep you warm.
The fit is a very important consideration. While a jacket with dropped tails is great in the lab, it isn’t necessarily so on the trail. A good fit and ventilation are more important for comfort than the high number of seams and zippers. A wide range of options is available to meet your needs. The Arc’Teryx Mountain bike jacket is particularly breathable and has two large chest zipped pockets. It also has a removable hood, two front zip pockets, and reflective trim.
A mountain biker’s jacket should be comfortable and durable. It must also be breathable. In cold weather, you may need to wear a windbreaker. A mountain biker’s jacket should provide protection against wind and rain. It should also have a hood and a breathable lining. It should also be waterproof when riding on a wet trail. A waterproof cycling jacket should be able to keep you dry and protected.
Choosing a waterproof mountain biking jacket is important for comfort and safety. You don’t want to be overheated while biking, so make sure the jacket provides enough coverage and breathability. A mountain biker’s jacket should not be too restrictive. A wide and lightweight helmet will keep you protected. It also has a good ventilation system. A hood is also essential. You can find a helmet that fits your head size.
