I am so glad I did buy this stylish Iron does the job and with ease was recommended to me earlier model to this one. The heating element is very rapid to get to temperature, which must save you even more money and there are several options available to inject some extra steam into your ironing too. There is long electrical cable securely fitted to top of the iron. The iron itself seems ideally weighted to be efficient at it's job not too heavy to make hard work of the ironing. The water tank for the steam is a good size and I don't have to stop to refill it. If you are looking for a reasonably priced quality iron, then this is it. 2 year guarantee can be extended. A highly recommended.
Very good value for money
I'm very happy with this iron. It will last as long as it's more expensive cousins I'm sure so why pay nearly £40 more when this iron does the job just as well. Maybe it doesn't have all the fancy gimmicks the others have but it steams, it removes creases, it's light and easy to use, it does exactly what I want an iron to do and at a quarter of the price. I would happily recommend it.
Can't beat a stainless steel plate
Having used an old fashioned steam iron forever, my last purchase (unnoticed by me at the time) had a ceramic base, what a nightmare! Now I am back to a stainless steel plate and it is fabulous, I may even do more ironing!

A great cordless iron - BUT ....
I dislike ironing intensely, but this cordless iron gives me greater freedom and does a great job - the price is extremely good, too. The BUT is the charging unit. It's very lightweight, and wobbles all over the place when lifting off the iron. I thought of sending it back, but it does the job, and all the alternatives are either expensive or the charging unit is the size of a small dinghy. My solution was to buy a 99p pack of self-adhesive velcro from Lidl; stick four strips of the soft, fuzzy side on the end of my ironing board (having first drawn round the charging unit with pencil so I could see where I was going), and match those with the corresponding loopy hook strips on the base of the charging unit. SIMPLES! Works a treat, and I still have more velcro than I will probably ever need, but for 99p I'm quite chuffed with my solution. For anyone who thinks the fuzzy velcro on the ironing board will be a nuisance and get in the way - it doesn't.
More than happy with this iron
It is a fabulous iron. Being my first cordless it a real blessing to use. I read the reviews before I purchased, most of the negative reviews were regarding the iron loosing heat, and having to return it to be charged. I absolutely cannot fault it in this regard. It's no different to putting the iron down, to adjust the garment. The iron is very smooth to work with. The only negative I found was the packaging displayed the Union Jack which led me to believe it was made in the UK. It was made in China and packaged in the UK.
Quality... I mean QUALITY product
Too cheap? STOP LISTEN TO ME...Cordless YEP.. great idea, and you're right there - it's great... NOW KEEP LISTENING... there I was checking out the Wattage Power, checking out "THE most expensive" (because they've surely GOT to be the best... er no... you're wrong. So let's run through this sensibly.... 1) You want a Steam Iron, 2) Cordless would be a great idea 3) Ehem... well if it lost power you'd need to plug it in to warm up anyway 4) You don't want a damned "Gravy Boat" to sit your iron onto which would take up space on your ironing board 5) You don't want to buy some "No Name" use once and then throw away, rubbish My advice... because I've tried others then tried this one...Tower T22008 whatever the damned colour you go for...IS THE BEST... top quality, for silly cheap money, but THE BEST... BAR NONE. So you ask? Why? Because you can use it as Cordless, or simply clip on the cord section and use it as a wired Iron, and that's such a compact and easy thing to do. No Gravy Boat, No "stand-on" platform. Because remember, no other iron offers you the option to clip on and run the iron "CORDED"... this one does. And for twenty-odd quid!! The build quality is GOOD, the style and design is good. TOWER make saucepans and have a good reputation, they are not a here today gone tomorrow firm. Whoever thought about this and designed this product, did a damned good job. Boy Oh Boy, does it do the work!! Lightweight too.. I only wish I'd had the chance of one of these 20 years ago. What value for money... next time I'll buy three!!

I’ve had this now a few months and it does well. It heats up quickly and gives plenty of steam. I keep a hug of water available to top up as its water chamber is pretty standard for this type of iron and I’ve been used to the bigger steamers. Does what it says on the tin.
Quite a heavy iron
I like the weight of this iron and find it aids my ironing, though it is quite a bit heavier than my last Philips iron. I am hoping the new calc release symptoms works. It's early days as I haven't had this iron much more than a month but so far so good. Pity the water tank is a little difficult to see its contents other than that I have been pleased with this iron .
A Good Steam Iron with Plenty Of Power.
The Philips Azur Steam Iron with 250g Steam Boost is an excellent steam iron with plenty of power. The 2600W packs a powerful action and that steam really does make your ironing faster and easier. Let me explain. Many people, especially on a budget, tend to go for cheaper irons. That is understandable BUT you are far better off spending a little more and getting firstly a steam iron and one with some power, Why it simply means you don't have to constantly iron and re-iron the same spot twice or sometimes three times to get the same effect that iron delivers first time. Talking of spots where this iron really gets top marks is it's anti-calc properties. We, like half the country live in a hard water area. Hard water means limescale. Lots of irons I have used in the past have deposit spots of limescale on my fresh ironing. This device has a simple mechanism that takes just 15 seconds to operate to dispose of the collected limescale. (In saying that a tip is to use the water recovered from a dehumidifier if you have one- the water is free from limescale or even use the ice from your fridge or freezer the later is a faff I admit) The plate is one of those really smooth actions that allows you to sail through your ironing in a third of the time. Now I noticed that my fellow reviewers were so impressed that they bought an identical model BUT only paid £56 and not the current £73 at the time of writing. Why the massive price Hike? I have no idea. £56 would be a fairer price to my mind. Why should you get this more expensive iron? If you do quite a bit of ironing it will lesson the time and make it easier. The steam action allows you to smooth harder to iron clothes easier and with less effort. The iron has a lot of power. I hope this helps you make a decision on which iron to buy. This is a good iron with plenty of power.
