Trust in this item and you won’t go far wrong.
Hasn’t got the balls of an air operated version but actually pretty good. Having two batteries and charger in with the kit is a massive bonus when the current trend is to sell these items separately. Personally I don’t like having anyone pull my pants down and bend me over so this item is actually great value for money. Helped me change a drive shaft on a VW T5 van so it’s a win win for me.
First impression is good!
Bought this as I needed an impact wrench as my original sealey one has gave up, it comes with two batteries and is at a good price. I was pleasantly surprised on opening the box, seems really good quality for the money. first thing was to charge a battery fully and test on a VW Transporter 19mm wheel nut. No problem to it. Then a rear axle nut on a Motorcycle 32mm same again no problem. First impressions are good. Time will tell
GREAT FOR STARTER MECHANICS
Great impact gun for starting mechanics. Covers a wide range of jobs. Yes sometimes it struggles with wheel nuts not properly being greased before reffiting by previous workers. But still £100 pound for a gun that can remove mostly anything (bottom arms, subframes, calipers, most wheels, rear axels, the list is endless). I was removing a subframe on an 01 plate honda civic and with the correct attachment the gun did all the work. Yes it needed a little more rattle time to come off but it did it. Also having the second battery well worth it 1 and a 1/2 batteries and this gun removed a subframe in 2 hours by me, a beginner mechanic. 100% go for this gun if you want experience with power tools without spending another 500/600 on a more "popular" brand. Well impressed.

I have worked on cars all my life and always had what I thought were the best sockets, spanners, breaker bars etc, ... I decided to treat myself to one of these impact wrenches as I am currently working on my car that needs a new crank pulley fitted. This wrench just removed the bolt with ease, like it wasn't even tight!! Crank pulleys rquire breaker bar and lots of strengh to undo, ... If your working on your cars, buy one of these, you will never regret it!! This wrench will remove just about any nut or bolt on your car with ease and no effort! Best tool I've ever brought!!
As our cars have winter and summer tyres plus the requests from family "dad can you fit new discs/pads to my car" this little item seemed a good idea. The first thing to note is that it is big and heavy so it gives some confidence that it may do the job and it does. A couple of wheels that had been fitted by a tyre dealer with the usual "I can get it even tighter" attitude needed a little help but to complain it failed when it needed a good pull on a metre long wrench to shift the nut is hardly fair. It has handled wheels properly fitted with no problem and makes changing wheels really quick and easy both removing and tightening the nuts. After tightening I have checked the nuts using the normal manufacturer supplied brace and the DeWalt seems to get about the right amount of torque. I have seen comments that it is easy to catch the forward/reverse switch. The switch is in exactly the same place as it is on my DeWalt drill and impact driver so I see no reason why it should be a problem here and so far it hasn't been. I can't comment on battery life as it is for DIY use and has plenty of power to remove and refit a set of tyres so extended use all day is not a requirement for me but as its only in use for a few seconds per tyre. I can't imagine it is heavy on batteries so should last a lot longer than the time it takes to charge a spare. The bottom line is that it does all I need and is a lot more powerful than the air wrench I bought a couple of years back. I find reviews help my purchase decisions. If this helps you please click "helpful" so I know I am not wasting my time. Thanks
This isn't an impact wrench - this is literally Thor's hammer! I've used it for nearly 3 years, and not only it is fantastically powerful, but also bombproof - can't remember how many times it fell. This impact wrench is able to undo wheelnuts which have been nearly fused by clueless garage monkeys who use air impact wrench and care nothing about the right torque.

From skeptical to a believer...
With a non-mechanical background, I didn't know exactly what i need from an impact wrench (especially a cordless ones!) - after a while of being skeptical and also reluctant to purchase one, I thought of - 'you wont know until you try'. So I decided to buy this Ryobi Impact wrench and after using it, THERE IS NO REGRET. So far, I have used it on the following: Wheels nuts - Come off loose in a second. 2 seconds at the most. Didn't use it on the locking nut for an obvious reason. Brake slider pins & bolts - My car slider pin and bolts are completely seized. this comes off without a problem. Brake Caliper Carrier bolts - This known to be quite tight one, but Ryobi 400nM (as advertised here) breakaway torque took it off in +/- 3 seconds. The jobs above are being done to a 13 years old car, in Scotland, so it is lots of seized and rust from the salty road. With that, everything come off without a glitch. Battery being used was a fully charged 5 amp 18v lithium battery. the indicator from battery level meter still says full after all of that. Very impressive, a 4 amp battery maybe the min. capacity you might want to use for a big job. A big test for this i reckon would be trying to take a (crankshaft) pulley bolt. If i am being fussy, I would say, the bright green colour won't last as grease will got on it and you will get weird green shades. I have bought the impact wrench (bare unit) when it was £94 inc. delivery...I say it was a bargain, especially if you already have battery and charger already! Not looking back and one of the best purchase I have done in Amazon. Last note, you can get an extension of 3 years warranty FOR FREE if registering the product in Ryobi-UK website.
What's not to love?
This impact wrench will have a huge impact (see what I did there?) on the way you work. It is extremely effective at removing even the oldest, rustiest nuts & bolts that you can find. The 3 speed settings offer great versatility for all types of fasteners and on setting 3 nothing is a problem for this little device. It feels solid and well built as you would expect if you've ever owned any other Ryobi products. The bright colour makes it easy to spot on the garage floor - even if sometimes it can be confused for the drill - and it really feels like a premium product. One crtiticism that applies to all Ryobi tools and not just this impact wrench is that it can be difficult to clean, and dirties very easily, but ultimately it is a tool and that's always going to be the case. Working in dark areas is a lot easier now too; I was sceptical when just trying the LEDs out in the open in the middle of the day, but once I was underneath the car removing bolts I realised the sheer brilliance of these lights, they're perfectly adequate for seeing what you're doing. This is the perfect choice when you consider the batteries will work with any of the Ryobi range (and there's a tool for everything in the ONE+ Range!). I'd really recommend buying this item, it's very powerful and matches/outperforms some of it's more expensive competitors. What's not to love?

I work for rac breakdown and bought this to replace my 10 year old Snapon gun. I gave a lot of the ryobi tools so knew would be good and is a fraction of the price compared to the new snapon and Milwaukee guns. First impression is it’s pretty powerful and really small compared to the other makes it fires wheel nuts off easily and because of the size it easily fits in places around the hub so makes stripping brakes and shocks easy work. The first 10 times it smelled of burning but I expected this as it’s a brushed power tool and had the same experience with the ryobi grinder and circular saw the smell soon goes. The only advise I would give is use a 4amp battery minimum as it helps deliver the power it needs, I tried my 1.5amp and it’s not man enough.
